Department Curriculum

The dynamic mix of courses prepares students for a career in all of the rapidly growing communication fields. The program focuses on the development of creative and technical skills in film, video, multi-media, computer and the theoretical understanding of media and culture.

The Bachelor of Arts degree is conferred after a student majoring in Communication Arts has completed a minimum of 128 credits. Within this coursework, students must satisfactorily complete:

For four-year full-time daytime students:
1. Chaoyang University of Technology Core requirements: 13 subjects 30 credits
2. Department of Communication Core requirements: 23 subjects 48 credits
3. Department of Communication Selective requirements: 40 subjects 92 credits (minimum requirement 42 credits)
4. Selective either in department of Communication Arts or other department: 8 credits

For four-year part-time evening students:
1. Chaoyang University of Technology Core requirements: 12 subjects 28 credits.
2. Department of Communication Core requirements: 18 subjects 37 credits.
3. Department of Communication Selective requirements: 27 subjects 64 credits. (minimum requirement 51 credits)
4. Selective either in department of Communication Arts or other department: 12 credits.
